Construction Manager (Res projects)

• Carry out construction feasibility studies for potential projects;
• Supervise the site construction team and monitor the contractors and construction activities to comply with company requirement and standard;
• Assess the technical submissions from tenderer and contractors;
• Monitor work progress and coordinate with relevant internal and external parties to ensure project timeline and required quality are met;
• Co-ordinate for resolving technical queries and site matters timely and cost-effectively;
• Provide on-site supervision (assisted by the clerk-of-works) on daily issues relating to construction, project management and contracts, including implementation of safety and control measures;
• Carry out off-site inspections for fabrications where required;
• See to making good of defects and co-ordinate for T&C and handover;
• Accountable for project communications to ensure effective internal and external communications.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Construction Project Management or other building related disciplines;
• Member of relevant professional institution(s) preferred;
• At least 10 years’ solid experience on construction project management and site works;
• Experience in construction management of MTRC projects is essential
• Strong technical understanding of construction means, practices and standards in Hong Kong;
• Conversant with building regulations and construction process including construction feasibility studies, works sequence and program planning, particular specifications for procurement of contracts.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Construction Manager
